Lucy McCarthy M.A.C.A. (Level 2)

My name is Lucy and I have been working as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in the Community Health, NGO and Private Sector since 2008. I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and have experience working with many commonly occurring issues and concerns as well as serious mental health difficulties. During my career I have assisted people experiencing symptoms of Depression or Anxiety, relationship issues, work stress, grief and loss or significant life changes. My particular areas of expertise are in the treatment of Complex Trauma, Childhood Sexual Abuse (in particular physical and sexual abuse that occurred within an institutional context) and Gambling Addiction. I am also very passionate about supporting the mental wellbeing of people who are living with a complex/chronic health conditions.

In addition to my university degrees I have obtained professional training and Clinical Supervision in the following therapeutic modalities:
